Growing up in a family who knows how to play the piano, I thought I was forced to take piano lessons for that reason. Worst, I have my mother for my teacher. At that time, I was not the only one who was taking piano lessons for beginners. My siblings down the line are including my cousins and each of us had different opinions but only one complaint that is we have either our mom or our dad to teach us the play the piano. We have friends and classmates whose teachers come to their homes sometimes they come to their teachers home to take their lessons.

Yes, online lessons are good but getting hands - on piano lessons for kids is much better. If the kids have questions about their lessons they get the answers immediately. You cannot do this online. What makes hands on piano lessons better is that you don't need to shift from your computer to your keyboard. Also, with your teacher beside you, she can easily help you out on how to position your hands when playing the instrument and when you happen to tap on the wrong key there is someone there to tell you. Good piano teachers know when the wrong key is struck and they will remind you to go back and play it again. Computers don't do that.
The teacher I found is really one of the best because she tells her why taking piano lessons is good for her. Now, she knows that knowing how to play the piano gives you some kind of a social status, it helps develop her hand and eye coordination as well as in improving her motor skills. Her teacher told her that focus is very important when taking her lessons because she needs to concentrate on how her hands moves on the different keys separately. Not only was she able to improve her skills in playing the piano but she learned how to appreciate music.
This is something you don't get from online piano for beginners lessons. The computer will not tell you what skills you're developing and how you will improve yourself. And for you to know this, you need to search it on the internet.
